How do executives feel about social media? Well, as you can see they love it! With 96% of executives reporting that it is essential in building brand awareness. The study from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth also finds that the vast majority (84%) agree that being active on social media is crucial for business success – a figure that has soared 10% points in just 3 years.
Despite the excitement circling social media’s influence, only 1 in 5 (21%) now have a social media plan in place, while a third (35%) have no written plan at all. The remainder incorporates social media plans within their wider marketing or business plans. The cause of this? Around 48% of executives are worried about the return on investment for utilizing social media.
